Coconut Flour – mild coconut flavour and high in fibre

Organic coconut flour is made by finely grinding dried white coconut flesh. The result is a mildly aromatic, naturally slightly sweet flour that brings both coconut flavour and a different texture to baking. Try replacing part of the flour in your recipe with coconut flour and pair it with almond flour, for example. Beyond baking, coconut flour is also easy to add to porridge, muesli or smoothies.

From coconut flesh to coconut flour

Coconut flour is made from the white flesh of coconuts, which is dried and finely ground into flour. The coconuts we use come from Asia, where coconut palms grow among other vegetation. Harvesting is carried out by local farmers and their employees, who either climb the coconut palms or use long harvesting tools. No monkeys are used to harvest the coconuts used in our coconut products. The different parts of the coconut are utilised as thoroughly as possible, excluding the shell.

How to use coconut flour

Baking is a natural place to start with coconut flour. Try replacing approximately 10–25% of the other flour in a recipe with coconut flour, for example in cakes, muffins or cookies. Its mild coconut flavour and naturally slightly sweet taste work especially well in recipes that benefit from a subtle tropical note.

And coconut flour does not have to stay in the cupboard waiting for your next baking session. Spoon it into porridge or muesli, blend it into a smoothie, or try it in homemade desserts. Even a small amount can bring both coconut flavour and a different texture to a familiar recipe.
