THE GOLDEN, TART INCA BERRY 

Inca berry, also known as Cape gooseberry or goldenberry, is a Southern American plant with golden berries entwined into sheen leaves. Inca berries are related to tomatoes, eggplant and potatoes, and they grow in the fresh, clean air of the Andes mountains.  

Inca berries make great snacks as they are or whenever you feel like treating yourself to something a little fresher than traditional sweets. Inca berries are a great pair to strong raw chocolate and soft porridges, yogurts or smoothies. Inca berries can also be sprinkled on top of muesli or granola to bring fruitiness and freshness.  

The tart berries are also suitable for savory cooking. Sprinkle the berries into your salad, roasted vegetables or mix into light sauces.
