UNFILTERED OLIVE OIL FROM THE HEART OF CRETE
Foodin’s unfiltered olive oil is made by gently cold-pressing high-quality Koroneiki olives without filtering in the heart of Crete. Unfiltered, organic extra virgin olive oil is a unique, less processed, more “fresh” olive oil. The oil contains traces of olive pulp, giving the oil a cloudy appearance, preserving the authentic flavour of the olives. Due to the high polyphenol content of the oil, the taste has a gentle pepper-like kick to it.
Our organic extra virgin olive oil is produced on a Cretan family farm with over 150 years and several generations of experience. The family grows Koroneiki olives, which have been cultivated for thousands of years and are often referred to as the “queen of olives”. The olives are gently harvested by using a traditional brush, making sure no birds or precious trees are harmed in the process. Pesticides are not used in the production of these olives.
Olive oil is suitable for all types of cooking and frying. Once opened, store in a cool place away from sunlight.
Packed in a factory that handles gluten-free oats, nuts (cashews, Brazil nuts, pecans, macadamias, hazelnuts and walnuts), almonds, sesame seeds, and milk protein.
