SUNFLOWER SEEDS PAIR UP PERFECTLY WITH BREAD AND MUESLI
Foodin’s organic sunflower seeds grow without pesticides. The mild and slightly nutty taste of the sunflower seeds make them suitable for all kinds of cooking and snacking.
Our absolute favourite way to use sunflower seeds is to add them to rolls to bring texture, but they are just as good when sprinkled into granola and muesli or when added on top of salads and other savoury dishes. Sunflower seeds are particularly delicious when roasted in the oven along with your favourite spices!
Sunflower seeds, much like alfalfa seeds, are also excellent for sprouting.
HOW TO SPROUT THE SEEDS
Soak sunflower seeds for a few hours or overnight. Rinse the seeds, then sprout them in a sift or other container for 4-5 days, rinsing them twice each day. The finished sprouts are stored in the refrigerator, where they remain good for a few days. You can also dry the sprouts after soaking to make them last longer.
