Pumpkin seed flour is made from high quality heirloom variety Styrian pumpkin seeds. The unique seeds are known for their delicious taste, large size and exceptionally dark colour. Pumpkin seed flour is delightfully green in colour, and a nutritious choice for baking.
The pumpkin seeds used in our flour are harvested in Austria by family farmers that have been in business for over three generations. Our partners purchase seeds from other crops as well, encouraging local farmers to swap into organic farming. The pumpkin seed flour has a very light carbon footprint, and is produced using renewable water energy generated by the family farmer’s own water power facility.
Pumpkin seeds bring a unique flavour to baking and cooking. The flours are particularly tasty in bun doughs and pancake batter, and are also a delicious addition to hefty falafels. The taste of pumpkin seed flour is also great in soups and sauces, and the flour is more full-bodied and heavily textured than other flours.
