ENHANCE THE TASTE OF YOUR DESSERTS WITH COARSE HIMALAYAN CRYSTAL SALT
Crystal salt is hand mined from the Himalayan mountain range. It is estimated to be over 200 million years old. The salt has not been processed, and it does not contain any additives.
Due to its beautiful, delicate rosy colour the salt has also been called rose salt. The flavour is mild, soft and aromatic, highlighting and emphasizing other flavours. Crystal salt is exceptionally good in deepening the notes of sweet bakes and treats, and it is often used as table salt for all types of dishes. Crystal salt also works well in beverages – try creating a salt rim on your next virgin margarita! To mix it up, try mixing different salts together and adding your favourite dried herbs such as rosemary, basil, thymes, herbs de Provence or pepper.
Himalayan crystal salt is produced in Pakistan under fair conditions. Due to its electric atomic structure, the salt is used to create an electrically conductive solution called “sole”, that is naturally sterile and can be used for scrubbing the skin and rinsing the nose and mouth. Crystal salt is also a popular ingredient in cosmetics and exfoliating scrubs.
