BIRCH SUGAR IS A REFRESHINGLY COOL SWEETENER
Birch sugar, or xylitol, is a fully natural table-top sweetener. The level of sweetness is almost identical with regular white sugar, aside from its refreshingly cool note. Many of our customers prefer birch sugar for its pleasant flavour, and we couldn’t agree more!
Because of its texture, birch sugar is a great substitute for regular sugar and can be used in the same way. Xylitol can be used in higher temperatures, making it an excellent choice for baking. Try it in berry muffins and cakes!
Xylitol promotes dental health, and its chemical structure prevents bacteria from causing tooth decay. The glycemic index of birch sugar is low (GI 7), raising blood sugar very slowly.
Birch sugar may cause laxative effects when enjoyed in higher quantities. This can be avoided by beginning with smaller portions.
Packed in a factory that handles gluten-free oats, nuts (cashews, Brazil nuts, pecans, macadamias, hazelnuts and walnuts), almonds, sesame seeds, and milk protein.
