THE QUEEN OF OILS, CRETAN OLIVE OIL
Olive oil has been a cornerstone of cuisine and a part of dinner tables for thousands of years. Its versatility makes it a kitchen staple. Organic olive oil is good for all kinds baking and cooking, from dressing salads, replacing butter in baking to being a downright essential in pastas and risottos. Olive oil can also be used in hair and skin care.
Foodin’s olive oil is subtly aromatic, mildly creamy, soft and fruity. Due to the high polyphenol content of the oil, the taste has a gentle pepper-like kick to it. In addition to the traditional olive oil, our selection also includes an unfiltered variety, which contains traces of olive pulp and has a stronger flavour.
Our organic extra virgin olive oil is produced on a Cretan family farm with over 150 years and several generations of experience. The family grows Koroneiki olives, which have been cultivated for thousands of years and are often referred to as the “queen of olives”. The olives are gently harvested by using a traditional brush, making sure no birds or precious trees are harmed in the process. Pesticides are not used in the production of these olives.
Olive oil is suitable for all types of cooking and frying. Once opened, store in a cool place away from sunlight.
Packed in a factory that handles gluten-free oats, nuts (cashews, Brazil nuts, pecans, macadamias, hazelnuts and walnuts), almonds, sesame seeds, and milk protein.
