ADD THE FINISHING TOUCH TO YOUR DISH WITH COCONUT CHIPS
The delicious, tropical coconut chip is a crunchy delight that adds the perfect finishing touch to desserts and treats. Our coconut chips are made from carefully selected coconut pulp. Coconut is immensely versatile – it turns to desiccated coconut, coconut oil, coconut milk and coconut cream as well!
Our coconut chips have the familiar, soft and sweet taste of the fruit. They’ve been processed gently in low temperatures, ensuring the preservation of their nutrients.
HOW TO USE COCONUT CHIPS
Coconut chips are a customer favourite, used in decorating and adding a finishing touch to all types of dishes! They’re perfect on top of a rich smoothie or cupcakes, and create a wow-effect on top of dark raw chocolate cake. Coconut chips are also suitable to use in baking and cooking, and are often added into nut and berry mixes, porridges and homemade granola.
The aroma of coconut chips also works great in salty dishes, and can be mixed into Asian sauces to even out hotter spices. Spicy casserole dishes and chicken also gain depth from delicious coconut.
FAIR TRADE COCONUT
Our partners in the Philippines educate and train small family farmers in organic and more sustainable farming practices, so that both the environment and the farmers and their families can thrive. The Fair Trade Premium wage is paid directly to the farmers. In addition to this, our partners are implementing various projects to improve the living conditions of the farming communities via Fair Trade programs. Between 2012 and 2015, wells were built in the village of Barangay to ensure access to clean drinking water, which benefited not only the farmers but the entire village. Solar panels were installed, and electricity was provided for basic functions. In June 2017, backpacks and school supplies were donated to children from farmer families. Together with our partner, we are involved in planting trees for farmers that they’re able to sell onwards and earn more income.
