The goji berry (Lycium barbarum) is a small, red, pointed berry that has a long history and traditions in East Asia. Goji berries are especially popular in Tibet.  

Foodin’s goji berries grow in a remote region in Tibet, over 3,000 metres above sea level. This guarantees a particularly clean and calm environment for the berries to grow. The daily temperature fluctuation is up to 30 degrees Celsius, and this together with the clean air and sun drying method makes Foodin’s goji berries a very versatile experience. 

Goji berries reached the North not long ago, but have already gained massive popularity among athletes, smoothie makers and those interested in a varied diet. Goji berries are excellent in smoothies and baking, trail mixes and snacking on their own. You can soak your goji berries before use, making them blendable into smoothies or for example porridges. Use the soaking water as well!  

Goji berries work well in savoury cooking as well, as they are not as sweet as most other berries. In salads, sauces and bread, goji berries bring texture, colour and flavour to dishes.
