MACA HAS BEEN USED FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS
Maca (Lepidium meyenii) is a superfood that grows in the rugged environment in the Andes in Peru. Maca is also known as Andean wreath and Peruvian ginseng. Maca roots grow in the Andean mountains in rather harsh conditions, where weather conditions range from ice cold to blazing hot. Maca has been used in Peru for centuries.
Our gelatinised maca is more easily digested because the starch of the maca has been removed. This makes our maca a more stomach-friendly alternative. Add maca to smoothies, snacks and desserts, and use together with lucuma for a fresh and fruity flavour!
Begin using maca with a daily dose of 0,5-1 teaspoons, gradually increasing the dose to up to 4 tablespoons. We recommend that you take a one-week break from maca after every three weeks of use.
