Pecan is a soft and sweet, mild nut. An excellent source of unsaturated fats, pecan nuts make a perfect addition to granola, muesli, raw porridge and oatmeal.
Besides the classic pecan pie, these nuts have gained popularity as a decoration and filling in all kinds of pies, buns and other baked goods. They’re delicious with vanilla ice cream and other light-textured treats, and make a beautiful garnish to salads. The creamy, full-bodied texture of the nuts gives texture to other lighter vegetable dishes as well.
