Juicy sun dried tomatoes are a full-bodied, tasty addition to cooking and baking. Foodin’s sun dried tomatoes are gently hand-sorted, cleaned, salted, sun dried and packaged, retaining the sunny flavour all the way to kitchen counters!  

The history of these delicious tomatoes takes us under the Italian sun, where people dried tomatoes on roof terraces to make them last longer. Sun dried tomatoes experienced an inflation in kitchens and restaurants in the 90’s, but now they’ve made a well-deserved comeback! Sun dried tomatoes are a versatile addition to cooking and baking. You can soak the tomatoes before use, and utilise the soaking water in sauces, soups and bread doughs. The tomatoes transform into a rich pasta, pizza sauce or, of course, the classic tomato soup! Sun dried tomatoes work wonderfully in dumplings and roasts, and as fillings for pies and breads. And don’t forget how well they work when sprinkled on top of salads!
