Nutritional yeast flakes are a delicious addition to versatile cooking. These classic, lightweight flakes are often referred to as “vegan grated cheese” due to their resemblance to parmesan. The nutty, umami flavour brings a delicious cheese-like flavour to cooking and baking. Nutritional yeast flakes include protein, fibre and Vitamin B’s.
Nutritional yeast flakes are at their best when sprinkled on top of a colourful salad. Traditionally yeast flakes have also been added on into sauces and on top of rice and pasta dishes. Flakes can also be used together with vegetables and potatoes, and they can be used to season salty snacks such as popcorn!
