AGAVE SYRUP IS AN EXCELLENT SUBSTITUTE FOR HONEY
Agave syrup is a natural sweetener from Mexico. Its flavour and texture resemble honey, which makes it suitable for preparing many types of different dishes. Agave is excellent in making raw chocolate, whipping up smoothies and porridges, and in almost anything that requires a dash of sweetness.
Agave syrup has a low glycemic index (GI 11–19), so it does not significantly raise blood sugar levels.
