Acerola powder is made from organic acerola cherry, also known as the Barbados cherry (Malphigia emarginata). Acerola is a tropical fruit that resembles cherries, and it grows in Middle and South America. Acerola powder is farmed with biodynamic methods in the midst of the Brazilian rainforest. In order to grow, acerola needs an average annual temperature up to 26 celcius. 

Due to its high C-vitamin content, acerola is quite acid and sour. Enjoy acerola with water, add some to juice or citrus drinks and smoothies.
